Readings for January 25
Before we meet on January 25th, please complete the following:
- Read “Rhetoric” by Malea Powell, Stacey Pigg, Kendall Leon, and Angela Haas. Stacey Pigg is a new faculty member in the NCSU English department.
- Read “The Thing About Networks: or Big Data Rhetoric” blog post.
- Start trying to find a source of data you would like to use for your visualization project. It doesn’t have to be “big” in the sense we’ve been discussing for big data, but it should have enough data to allow you to create a range of possible visualizations. For example, you might download data on storm events from the NOAA.
